Associate Minister and Teacher
Annie Kopko is a founding member of the Interfaith Center. She became an ordained Interfaith Minister in 2003 after graduating from One Spirit Interfaith Seminary and has served in the role of Associate Minister since 2010. Annie’s spirituality is informed by extensive religious exploration. Although she was raised in a Catholic family, as an adult her heart led her to other Christian communities (Unitarian Universalist, the Church of Religious Science/Science of Mind, and Unity Church).
In addition, Annie has been a member of Hindu and Buddhist communities. At the Center, she leads the Speaking Circle on Thursday nights and gives periodic Sunday messages. She is also famous for bringing her homemade chocolate truffles to our special events. She maintains a massage therapy practice in Ann Arbor and enjoys jewelry making and gardening. Annie lives in the country South of Ypsilanti with her husband Larry. They have one grown son and eight beloved cats.
Annie’s favorite quote from A Course in Miracles:
“The holiest place on Earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love.”
