Service allows us to experience our capacity for generosity, which lifts us above daily trials and opens our hearts. It provides an opportunity to practice nonjudgment by seeing the wholeness in everyone, whatever the circumstances. If you ever feel depressed or alone, serving others is a quick pathway to connection.
Alpha House
The Alpha House provides shelter and services for homeless families in our area. On a quarterly basis we have an opportunity to cook breakfast or dinner for Alpha House residents.
Is service at Alpha House for you? Join fellow Interfaithers in lending a hand to homeless families.

Food Gatherers
Ever wondered why we have that big barrel inside the doorway to the Social Hall? It’s how we collect non-perishable foods to help hungry people in Washtenaw County. Bring canned and packaged staples, vegetables, and proteins to the Center and feed our barrel.
Generosity lifts us out of our own concerns and allows us to recognize and share our blessings. We invite you to practice generosity regularly by picking up something extra each time you grocery shop.
