Volunteer at the Center
There are many ways to deepen your connection to Interfaith and cultivate awareness of your blessings through service. These are just a few:
- lead a Sunday meditation
- select and offer a spiritual reading
- help with our fundraising concert and service auction
- handle setup, cleanup, and/or details for other events as needed
- bake treats for the Sunday social hour
- bake treats for Cafe 704
- decorate the altar from time to time
- help nurture our Youthful Spirits
- publicize our activities — take photos, videotape Sunday services, or notify the press
- provide hospitality for memorial services at the Center
- be a greeter/usher one Sunday a month
- participate in our annual Yard Sale — donate, set up, or cleanup, it’s a big job!
- sing in the choir
- take minutes at the board meetings
- run the sound board

Board of Trustees
Do you have a vision for the Center? Get involved with the board. The trustees hold the vision and establish policies which both guide and limit the staff in achieving our goals and vision. Any member of the Center may stand for election — voting takes place during the Annual Meeting, typically the second Sunday in March. All are welcome to attend board meetings, held the third Sunday of each month at 1 pm.
ICSG Committees and Leadership Team
These groups accomplish many of the tasks associated with running the Center and caring for our members. If you have a caring heart, good business sense, or other leadership abilities, how might you support your spiritual community with those skills?
The Caring Committee assists members who are ill, injured, or otherwise experiencing a hard time, with rides, meals, and moral support. They also coordinate celebrations for new babies in our community and host holiday meals at the Center. The committee meets once monthly after the Sunday service to coordinate care. Let them know if you’d like to help out, and by all means, ask for help when you need it. We all need help sometimes.
The Finance Committee drafts the budget each year and advises the board on matters related to our financial health. This work is vitally important and will become more so as we cultivate our dream of purchasing a building of our own. Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at 6pm and are open to the community.
The Co-Creation Team is working on developing a vision for the future of our center with the direct and ongoing involvement of community members. This is a committee that loves to dream and imagine the exciting possibilities and provide actionable steps to making them reality. Meetings happen as necessary in advance of membership visioning events.
The Leadership Team coordinates the myriad volunteer initiatives, fundraisers, special events, and practical issues involved with running a spiritual center. The team consists of the ministers, committee chairs, and coordinators of other activities. This group selects the Community Member of the Month and always appreciates suggestions from members. Meetings are the second Sunday of each month at 1 pm and are open to the community.
